The pacifier addict

Mason is truly addicted to his pacifier although he usually prefers just one. Maybe he stuck two in his mouth cause he's trying to get all the "happy" (that's what he calls his pacifier) he can before his 3rd b-day, which is when they are all going away. We are all definitely dreading the detoxing/withdrawls period that I'm sure will ensue.

We had a "binkie funeral" where Aaron had to find all of his binkies and we put them in a box to bury in the yard. He got to dig the hole with his little shovel and as we were putting the binkies in the box, we said nice things about them. "You were a good binkie, I had you when I got my shots." "You helped me through the long cold nights when mom wouldn't come pick me up." "You were my only friend when I was sitting in the corner." Then you dig them back up after he goes to bed and toss them...
Binkies are a hard habit to break. Sometimes, you just have to wait for the child to be ready...

I didn't know that was the rule. How have the withdrawls been?
