Pigs must be flying

As long as I have known Johnny, he has sworn to never touch cottage cheese. It's really the one food that he will NOT eat. When he was young his mom made him eat homemade cottage cheese...(hmmm...sounds interesting). He warned her that if he ate it he would throw up, and sure enough he did. Well, since he's been on his health kick he's read several articles about the redeeming merits of cottage cheese and he decided he would try it. Here he is taking some of his first bites...I am happy to report that he actually likes cottage cheese now and eats it willingly. So
watch out, cause pigs must be flying

BBC invasion of NYC

Hi, here are some of the highlights of our New YOrk Trip. I put more on our own blog, so feel free to check that out too, they're all different and all really cool. You can get to our blog by clicking on the link "bert and benton" to the right. Our trip was AMAZING!! I can't wait to go back, and will hopefully do so before Amber and Doug leave. So if anyone is game for going to NYC, let me know! I'm all for it, just maybe not in the Winter, too cold!!

Me looking up at the Empire State building, it's BIG.

This is 9 blocks from Time Square and these people are insanely waiting till midnight barricaded in, who knows why. You can't see or hear anything from here.

PELE!!

My friend Buck Beak.

All the red dots are Cardinals, they are so cool! and So much smaller than I thought.

Rachel's New Do

Last Monday I got a phone call from Sarah needing help becuase Rachel had decided to cut her own hair, but not only that, she decided Bethany needed a new look too. So she brought the girls into the salon to see what we could do to fix their newly cut mullets.

Bethany's wasn't so bad, and as long as her hair is pulled up some how, you can't tell. Rachel however wasn't so lucky. So she got a cute new bob with some cute swoop bangs, which she actually cut herself and did a Really good job!! haha. So really, if you think about it, Rachel got a cute new hair cut AND got to miss school all from cutting her own hair, not too bad of a deal. :o)

The after, new bob

Daytrip to Prescott

Johnny and I took the kids for a day trip to "Arizona's Christmas City" - Prescott! We had an absolutely wonderful time, and I would highly reccommend it. The drive up was exciting cause it rained the entire way.
First we went to the extensive gingerbread house display and then we enjoyed the electric trains, then we decorated (and ate) gingerbread cookies.

Mason loved the trains and even got to operate one.

Then we bundled up the kids and went to the parade and drank hot chocolate and apple cider to keep warm. It even hailed on us, but we loved it. After the parade we visited the trains and gingerbread houses again, then we went to the "Walk through Bethlehem." Finally, on our way out of town we drove through the Valley of the Lights display. The whole day was so festive.

Polar Express

We had a great (if a bit hectic) time at the Polar Express. Grant and Eric were inseparable, and Will discovered that he loves to run up and down the aisles of train cars. :)
